How to Set Up Thunderbird
Thunderbird is a cross-platform mail client that can be used with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux computers. You can download Thunderbird here.
Step 1
Install Thunderbird
Run the installer. The default settings should be fine for your installation.
Step 2
Running Thunderbird For The First Time
The first time Thunderbird is started it will prompt you to import email and settings from previously installed clients. It is recommend that you skip this process at this time. Please mark "Don't import anything" and press the Next button.
You will be presented with a pop-up window where you can create a new email address. Press Skip this and use my existing email button.
Step 3
On the next screen complete Your name, Email address, and Password. Check the box next to Remember password. Then press the Continue button.
Step 4
On the following screen press the Manual config button.
Step 5
On the next screen provide the following settings:
Incoming: IMAP, mail.revly.net, 143, STARTTLS, Normal password.
Outgoing: SMTP, mail.revly.net, 587, STARTTLS, Normal password.
Username: Incoming: Your Email Address, Outgoing: Your Email Address
Press the Done button when finished. You should now see your account in the main window of Thunderbird.
