How to Set Up Chat
Thunderbird has built in chat (Instant Messaging) support for real time communication. This tutorial will show you how to configure Thunderbird chat with REVLY.
Step 1
Configuring Chat
Open Thunderbird and select your email address from the left-hand tree. Then select Chat in the right-hand pane under Accounts -> Create a new account.
Step 2
In the pop-up window select XMPP and press the Next button.
Step 3
Enter your email address in the Username field and press the Next button.
Step 4
Enter your Password and press the Next button.
Step 5
On the next screen press the plus sign (+) next to XMPP Options.
Step 6
Under XMPP Options -> Server enter mail.revly.net and press the Next button.
Step 7
Ensure Connect this account now is checked and press the Finish button.
Step 8
If you receive the error message below, click Add Exception...
Step 9
Press the Confirm Security Exception button in the pop-up window.
Step 10
Press the Close button.
