How to Manually Configure Outlook 2010
Create a New User Account
Step 1
Select File in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
Step 2
Choose account settings.
Step 3
Choose New in the account settings.
Step 4
Choose to manually configure the new account and then choose Internet email on the next screen.
Step 5
Set up the account with the following settings and enter your email address as the username and enter your password in the required field. Click More Settings when you are finished.
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming Mailserver: mail.revly.net
Outgoing mail server: mail.revly.net
Step 6
Select the Outgoing Server tab. In the tab tick the circle that says "My Outgoing Server requires authentication" and "Use same settings as my incoming server." Click the Advanced tab when you are done.
Step 7
Enter the following settings in the advanced tab:
Incoming server: 143
Use the following type of encrypted connection: TLS
Outgoing server: 587
Use the following type of encrypted connection: TLS
Press OK when finished.
Step 8
Outlook will then check your account settings to see if they are valid. When Outlook finishes, select Close.
Step 9
Press Finish to complete the setup.
Check Mail for the First Time
Before checking your mail for the first time, right click your inbox on the left side of the screen. Select IMAP folders from the drop-down menu that appears.
Uncheck the box that says "When displaying hiearchy in Outlook, show only subscribed folders."
