OpenLDAP is a free, open source implementation of the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) developed by theOpenLDAP Project. LDAP is an Internet protocol that email and other programs use to look up information from a server.
Installing OpenLDAP With REVLY
The REVLY Communication Server installs and configures a fully functional instance of OpenLDAP configured to work with the following components:
- Postfix (Incoming and Outgoing Email SMTP)
- Dovecot (Mailbox Storage IMAP/IMAPS)
- SOGo (Webmail, Calendars, and Contacts)
- Ejabberd (Instant Messaging Server)
- Unified Management Interface (Administration)
During the setup of the REVLY Communication Server a wizard gathers information needed to create configuration files to make the various components work together. Below is a brief summary of the questions asked. For a detailed description of the process please view the Installation Guide.
